    Numerical simulation of the water exchange between radiant tube and aquifer in a seepage well

    • In recent years, the water intake project of seepage wells has been widely used because of its high yield, high efficiency, low consumption and low cost. However, the current water intake project of seepage wells pays more attention to the water yield of seepage wells, and water exchange coefficient between the radiation tube and aquifers is seldom examined. In this study, 101 kinds of sand tank test schemes were designed to analyze the influence with different elevation angles of radiant tube, different lengths of radiant tube, different river leakage capacity, and different drawdown of vertical well on the water yield of the seepage wells. The calculation formula of the exchange coefficient between the radiant tube and aquifer is deduced. The partial test plans are simulated by the numerical model using MODFLOW software. The model and the formula of the exchange coefficient C1 between the radiant tube and aquifer are validated by the test data. The formula of the exchange coefficient C1 between the radiant tube and the aquifer is also determined.
