Comprehensive assessment of slope stability in Wu-Yu highway

    • A fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for slope stability based on multi-criteria is proposed for the characteristics of Wu-Yu highway, which is located in the frigid, high altitude, high seismic intensity area with complicated geological environment condition. Firstly, the engineering geological conditions, the structural characteristics of the slope rock and the deformation and failure modes of the slope along the highway are analyzed. The TSMR evaluation system is taken as the framework, the influence of the seismic load on the slope stability is taken into account, and the seismic coefficient β is introduced and the slope rock mass classification system THRSMR suitable for the "three high" highway is also established. Based on the theory of slope reliability analysis, the steps of the Monte Carlo method are summarized, and the reliability index and failure probability of each typical slope are given by GEO-SLOPE software. Finally, the results of qualitative evaluation, limit equilibrium analysis, reliability analysis and numerical calculation are taken as the basic indexes, and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to give further quantitative conclusions on the slope stability of each slope. The results have certain reference value for highway slope stability evaluation in the "three high" region.
