Abstract:
The slug test is a rapid field test method for determination of hydrogeological parameters. It has become one of the most important means in engineering investigation. There are many excitation methods for slug tests. However, the excitation intensity has no uniform standard in the test process. Domestic and international researches on the influence of the excitation intensity on the test results are still relatively low. By establishing a physical model test platform, the influence of different excitation intensities on the test results under different excitation modes in the homogeneous porous aquifer is simulated and analyzed. The analysis and experimental results show that the excitation intensity has no significant effect on the calculated results of the slug tests, but the greater the excitation intensity, the greater the impact extent of the test in the homogeneous porous medium. In practical application, relatively large extent of rock and soil parameters can be obtained with the larger excitation intensity.
